Who is Chiron?
In Greek mythology Chiron was a centaur and a son of the god Cronus, which makes him immortal. His bloodline gifted him powers of supernatural healing. He sacrificed his immortality for man so that they could create fire. And although he still had his healing powers he could not heal himself, making him the Wounded Healer.
What does this have to do with you you ask? In astrology Chiron is an asteroid also called a small planet, that orbits between Saturn and Uranus.Where ever Chiron shows up in our natal charts emphasizes an area of our life that has always felt more difficult, can point to deep insecurities and vulnerabilities and self esteem issues.
Chiron exposes our deep spiritual wounds but it expresses our greatest spiritual strengths
Since Chiron shows up as how we have been deeply hurt it allows us to heal others in these areas of life that we have had trouble healing ourselves. This is because we have lived through the same pain.
The placement of Chiron in our charts is our secret power! Once our core wounds have been revealed to us we are then able to process them and heal. It is no coincidence the Chiron symbol is shaped like a key. When we have been awakened it unlocks the power and opens a portal to inner peace.
As the old stories of our wounds die away because they’re no longer needed we shed that part of ourselves, like the skin of a snake. A seed has been planted it takes time to grow. We are connected now to Source. Reborn again through the womb of the Universe. Gaining is slow, for healing can be heavy. But as we trudge through we gain momentum and strength, coming out powerful and potent.

If you already know how we figure the houses for a natal chart you can skip this part.
There are 12 houses in astrology each pertaining to a different area of life. There are also 12 zodiac signs in astrology. Every sign in the zodiac governs a different house in our charts. They flow in order of how they do in the calendar year. Aries is followed by Taurus, then Gemini, Cancer, Leo, Virgo, Libra, Scorpio, Sagittarius, Capricorn, Aquarius and the last in the zodiac Pisces.
This is why we need to know what time we were born. The zodiac sign that is on the horizon at our time of birth is known as our Ascendant or Rising sign. It is also the sign that is placed in our 1st house.
So if your rising sign is Libra this means Libra is your 1st House. Followed by Scorpio in the second, Sagittarius in the 3rd and so on.
The Houses represent different areas of our life, while the zodiac signs act as the flavor of it. The type of energy that shows up in those areas of our lives.
